Contractor Safety Audit Application.
Digital Design. UX/UI.
Pegasus by Onsite (Onsite Mobile) is a contractor safety management tool aimed at assisting Site supervisors or managers to identify personnel and return real-time results about their compliance and work role in medium to large construction and infrastructure projects.
Building on their current framework, my role was to design the new look and feel of the mobile application using the existing UX workflow and improving the overall user interface design.
Starting with rapid prototypes and wireframes coupled with user testing in InVision, we were able to discover new improvements in user experience and workflow, and develop an app that has been eagerly adopted throughout the business.

Challenges
Limited by time and technical ability to create a native mobile app, the team needed to think quickly and carefully. Our approach was to keep things simple — modernise the UI using the new brand guidelines and introduce a more native experience using elements of human interface guidelines (HIG).
While the budget did not allow for a drastic workflow overhaul, we were able to introduce many small UX improvements through simple changes to the UI.

Interactive prototypes submitted to client.

Outcome
While not able to provide a full UX review, we did produce an application that exceeded client expectations. The smallest of UI changes, such as revised typography and componentry, were reported to have drastically improve usability.
Still using some of the groundwork we introduced, today Onsite continues to evolve as part of the Avetta’s product offerings. I am proud to be part of that legacy.
